The Zion Christian Church (Z.C.C.) has deep roots spread throughout Zimbabwe.
Currently, Z.C.C. Moria in Zimbabwe is led by Bishop Reuben Mukavhi at Nhenga, Mutombe (Chikomba) near Machinda, in Bikita District, Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe. This branch is one of the Z.C.C. Moria branches, with others located in Bikita, Bulawayo, Kwekwe, Beitbridge, and other areas.
Bishop Reuben Mukavhi was appointed to lead the Zimbabwe branch of Z.C.C. on 7 August 2022. He took over leadership after Bishop Samere Mukavhi, his elder brother, passed away on 26 July 2020.
According to church tradition, the eldest son of Saul Nhamo Mukavhi assumes leadership in order of birthright succession.
Bishop Reuben Mukavhi is working together with Chief Priest Elder Simion Mazengwa. Simion Mazengwa assumed this position after his father, Josiah Pudurai Mazengwa, passed away on 19 July 1974.
Before that, Josiah Mazengwa had worked with Saul Nhamo Mukavhi until Saul Mukavhi passed away on 1 May 1977.
Simion Mazengwa later worked with Samuel Mukavhi, the son of Saul Mukavhi, from May 1977 until his death on 26 July 2020. Currently, he is serving alongside Bishop Reuben Mukavhi since his appointment on 7 August 2022.
